Dr. Bechara Mezher is a board-certified gastroenterologist and Principal Investigator with over 25 years of experience in digestive health and more than 15 years in clinical research. He completed his medical degree at the Lebanese University Medical School and pursued postgraduate training in internal medicine at Akron City Hospital in Ohio, followed by a gastroenterology fellowship at the State University of New York in Buffalo.

Currently practicing at Swan Gastroenterology in Tucson, Arizona, Dr. Mezher has also held clinical roles at Adobe Gastroenterology and Mount Graham Medical Center. He served as Section Chief of Gastroenterology at Tucson Medical Center and continues to deliver expert care across GI and liver disorders.

Since 2019, Dr. Mezher has been an active Principal and Sub-Investigator at Del Sol Research, overseeing one of the largest gastrointestinal research portfolios in the region. His expertise spans hundreds of clinical trials involving GERD, IBS, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, NASH/MASH, gastroparesis, colorectal cancer screening, and eosinophilic esophagitis, among others. He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and the American College of Physicians.
