Dr. Shawn Platt is a board-certified osteopathic physician with over 25 years of experience in family and emergency medicine, veteran care, and clinical research. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Western University in California and completed his Family Medicine residency through the U.S. Air Force at Scott Air Force Base.

Dr. Platt currently serves veterans as an Emergency Department physician with Southern Arizona VA Health Care and leads primary care services at his own practice, Plattinum Health Care, in Tucson. He has also held roles as Principal and Sub-Investigator across numerous clinical trials at Del Sol Research Management and other institutions since 2011.

Dr. Platt’s research experience spans a wide range of therapeutic areas, including hypertension, asthma, NASH, ulcerative colitis, gastroparesis, eosinophilic esophagitis, diabetic complications, and respiratory viruses such as COVID-19 and RSV. His active participation in over 40 clinical studies reflects a deep commitment to advancing treatment options and improving care outcomes for diverse populations.
